It's June 11th, 2010, and we're celebrating the one-year anniversary of the first Cool Twitter Conference that took place in Washington, DC on June 11th, 2009. This was the first conference devoted to Twitter that took place on the East Coast, and kicked off a 6 month tour that spanned 18 cities and culminated with our 2-day conference in Washington last December known as Government 2.5. That conference a year ago was very well received and featured on the PBS News Hour.
We also have a new name. It's no longer Cool Twitter Conferences, but Cool Social Conferences. We made this just partly to comply with Twitter's request, but also to widen our scope.
We're very pleased to announce the next planned conference to take place in Orange County, California this Fall. It's tentatively scheduled for November 8th and 9th, and we're just awaiting the final confirmation of our venue before we can open up the conference for registration. But, the biggest news is that we are partnering with the Gravity Summit and co-producing this upcoming event together. The first day will be focused on social media and business, and the second day will be focused on government and social media, bringing the Government 2.5 vibe to the West Coast.
We are now actively seeking proposals for either day, and then can be sent to proposals@coolsocialconferences.com.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at bob@coolbluecompany.com or call me at +1-202-684-6207.
As soon as our venue has been finalized we'll make an announcement. We have some other activities planned during the summer, so check back here regularly, and keep an ear out. Sign up for our mailing list below, and we'll be sure to update you with the latest news concerning our conferences.
Thank you.
